• About your body and how it makes milk • Milk production in the first few days and weeks • How to support a full milk supply • How much milk is normal • How to hand express, both prenatally and after baby arrives • How to latch and position your baby • Burping baby • When and how to use a breast pump • Which breast pumps are most effective/recommended • What you can eat, drink, and take while making milk for your baby • How to troubleshoot and who to call if things aren't going as expected
This class is taught by mom/baby nurses and lactation consultants, who have extensive experience with feeding newborns and supporting families within the first few hours and days after birth.
